PUTIN FAVOURS 1980'S FASHION

This is a great photo from 1988. POTUS Ronald Reagan is out on a walk with Mikhail Gorbachev (on Reagan's immediate right) and shakes hand with a young boy. What has puzzled the world media is the man on the boy's left. The circled man is, apparently, Vladimir Putin. Before becoming Russia's President (and Prime Minister) he worked as an KBG spy and his job was, perhaps, to pose as an tourist and to keep an eye on Reagan. Or maybe Gorbachev...

Putin and his people deny this of course. But I think that the real reason for denying it is that Putin is ashamed of what he wears in the picture. Yes, I know it was 1988, but that's an explanation, not an excuse...
