Obama is Stitched Up

It appears Barack Obama's tailored suits could soon be British made creations. Hartmarx, the Chicago based firm that has been tasked with stitching Obama up, have gone bankrupt and one possible creditor is London's Emerisque Brands.

Hartmarx has a 125 year long history and counts British Austin Reed and Ted Baker as wholesale customers, which might explain why they're doing poorly. But the fight to keep the company American isn't over, as one Hartmarx worker put it: "This is a company which makes some of the finest quality suits. It's a company which makes suits for the president of the United States. Our jobs are worth fighting for".

FiP promises to keep you informed on the state, colour and origin of Obama's suits...
