Barack Obama was waiting to do a CNBC interview when the POTUS was casually chatting with reporter John Harwood and the topic of Kanye West came up, as I'm sure it often does at the White House. Obama said this, in regards to West's characteristic stage crashing at the MTV video awards:
"I thought it was inappropriate, it's like she's getting an award, why are you butting in? The young lady seems like a perfectly nice person, she's getting her award, what's he doing up there? He's a jackass."
In Obama's words - cut the man some slack, he's got bigger things to deal with. Besides, he's right, isn't he...
