JFK's Last Trip to Dallas

Newly discovered home video from the 22nd of November, 1963 - the day John F Kennedy was killed. The 8mm film was shot by a the then 15-year-old William Ward Warren, and recently donated to Dallas' Sixth Floor Museum at the Dealey Plaza. Cherish it!

RIP Eunice Kennedy Shriver

She might have been Arnold Schwarzenegger's mother in law, but we will remember Eunice as the sister of John F Kennedy. She died today, aged 88, after having her fair share of family unhappiness. The Kennedy clan is notoriously unlucky not so much in love, but life. Both JFK and RFK were assassinated and JFK Junior died in 1997 in a plane crash. 

Eunice's older brother died in the war and Edward, the youngest, had heart problems last year. But we do cherish this photo, not so much because of Eunice - may she rest in peace - but because it gives a very good indication of what JFK would have looked like today, had not been killed.

An unexpected meeting...

Well, who would have thought? This is not an ordinary sight - An American President and Hugo Chavez, leader of 'rogue' nation Venezuela. Historically (read: Under the Bush administration)

these two countries wouldn't have got along, but of course PBO changed all that. 

The meeting in Mexico has been compared to when JFK meet Nikita Krutshev, former leader of the Soviet Union, in the 1960's.

THE KENNEDY STYLE FILES

The Kennedy brothers, both John and Robert, had immaculate style, as these pictures show. East coast preppy but with a 60's mods hint. Unfortunately, they have been side stepped in the history of style by JFK's wife Jackie. 

Her style should be celebreated but we need to remember and highligt the effortless class of the other Kennedys. Not only were they incredibly handsome, but they managed to look good in just about anything, both off and on duty as politicians. The beach shot could easily be a Ralph Lauren advert...
