In a week when Gordon Brown - or Bordon Brown as we at FiP call him - have suffered extensive blows to his internal credibility, we still turn our eyes to the Middle East. Over there Gorgeous George (Galloway, Respect MP) has been stirring up attention again. Others might argue it's because he was deported from Egypt, or maybe because he had been on the road from London for a month, trying to deliver aid parcels to the Gaza Strip. Galloway wasn't allowed in and was put on a London bound plane.
FiP just can't help noticing that all this happened while GG was wearing a pair of Ray Ban Clubmasters. He shouldn't have done that; those glasses are as dead as the wayfarer, three-quarter length shorts and silk shirts. Come on George, you can do better than last year's hipster sunglasses...

Barack Obama and the Sphinx
This is of course Barack Obama sightseeing on his trip to Egypt. He went there to hang out with the Sphinx (that's the creature on Obama's right in the top pic), have a chat with Egypt's king and to make peace with the Muslim world.
And oh yeah, if he had time to spare, he also wanted to show off his new laid back touristy look; light beige chinos (Dockers? Polo? Probably GAP...) and navy blue polo shirt, which looks crisp and straight out of bomb secured packaging. Of course, he's also in his fave Rayban singlasses, which FiP focused on in an earlier post during the election campaign. His off-duty attire is relaxed but well colour coordinated.

Oakley Versus Rayban

It's not only Democrats versus Republicans, The Rest Of The World versus Rednecks, Good versus Evil that will be settled on 4 Novmember. No, it goes deeper than that. A lot deeper. Just look at the sunglasses championed by candidates Obama and McCain - Rayban and Oakley.
The Democrat has gone for Rayban, and luckily he's not wearing Wayfarers but a more subtle, less wanky version, which is suitable for a man his age. John McCain though, wears a sporty Oakley pair which makes him look like an old man trying to be something he shouldn't be...so I suppose it makes sense then...
Now you can also buy Rayban-inspired sunglasses promoting your candidate of choice. Unsurprisingly, Obama's looks a lot cooler, don't you think?
